Forest Farming Partners & Community

The Appalachian Forest Farmers Coalition (AFFC) is dedicated to cultivating the practice of forest farming by connecting forest owners, farmers and producers with local organizations, university programs, and community projects that are growing the future of forest farming and agroforestry—both in Appalachia and beyond.

Much like the woodlands we tend, the forest farming community thrives on collaboration and diversity -together, we form an interconnected ecosystem of shared knowledge, local and regional communities and economies, resources, and research designed to nurture vibrant opportunities beneath the canopy.

Whether a beginner or are a veteran producer, this platform is built to help your grow. We invite you to explore our educational resources as well as directly connect with an AFFC Partner Organization near you. These partners serve as the roots of our network, providing the essential groundwork, training, and grant funding that power the Appalachian forest farming movement.
